Coastguard Lookout
Hunstanton
With breathtaking panoramic views, Coastguard Lookout is an iconic local landmark with quirky interiors and many original features, offering the most captivating location on the seafront in Hunstanton.
This is a very special place to stay and a unique opportunity to spend a holiday in an original Marconi Wireless Station. The owners have worked tirelessly to restore the station which was built in 1906 and is now a holiday home for either a family or couple looking for an extraordinary retreat.
The ground floor is home to the sitting/dining room with warming wood-burner to keep you cosy whatever the weather and separate kitchen.
A steep staircase leads up to the bedrooms, a sweet double-bedded room with dual aspect windows to take in the mesmerising views and a cosy bunk-bed room which children will love.
The stylish bathroom has a bath with shower over, perfect for either a refreshing shower or a long soak.
The roof top terrace is rather special, giving a bird’s eye view of the ocean and beyond.
From dawn until dusk hours can be spent here watching the tide ebb and flow along the sandy beach and the bustling nearby town of Hunstanton.
The tower also has a sunken outside seating area so you can take in the fresh air from your prime position. Please take care in this area. Outside, there is a fenced off garden area, ideal for alfresco dining in the Norfolk sunshine.
If you can bear to leave your iconic retreat, there’s plenty to see and do in the area. Quite literally next door, Cliff Top Café and Beach Shop serves breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day, so you are all sorted if you’d prefer not to cook.
Hunstanton centre is close by, a charming Victorian seaside town with a great selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Whether you are looking for fine dining or fish and chips from the paper overlooking the sea, you will find it here.
The nearby sandy beaches are perfect for families, surfers, kite surfers and paragliders and with miles of coast path running in either direction you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring.
There are two RSPB reserves worth visiting; Titchwell Marsh and Snettisham, ideal for birdwatching and relaxing in peace and tranquility or perhaps take the Coasthopper bus on a scenic tour of the area.
However you plan to spend your blissful Norfolk getaway, a holiday at The Coastguard Lookout will be one to treasure.
