Evelyn Cottage is a charming mid terrace 18th century cottage, still with a few original beams and character features. It was originally converted from a row of shops and is tucked away in the heart of the preservation area of the village, close pubs/restaurants/shops and supermarket. Very comfortably furnished and well-equipped in traditional and modern styles, the property would suit couples looking to escape for a few days with friends, or small family.

Ground floor; entrance into modern tiled, kitchen with two bistro chairs and table handy for a quick snack or coffee, plus staircase. Large lounge with wood flooring, dining area and feature gas fire plus front entrance. First floor; Two bedrooms, one with a 4’ bed and the master room with a lovely French double bed and two steps down to small en suite wet room with shower, WC and washbasin. Family bathroom with bath having shower attachment on taps (situated under eaves so guests must be aware of low level ceiling), WC and washbasin.

There is a front entrance but with private parking at the rear, it is easier to access the cottage from the pretty courtyard garden - perfect for returning to after exploring the area. There is mostly all-day sunshine so eating and sitting outside is a restful end to a busy day. With gas central heating the property is warm and inviting for holidays over the cooler months too.

Very handy for exploring this beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Snettisham is only 4 miles from the popular resort of Hunstanton and 11 miles from historic port of Kings Lynn where there are good public transport links from North and the South by train or bus. If you don’t want to stay amidst the hustle and bustle of the coast, then this property and village is ideal. The Farm Park at the back of the village will prove popular with visitors all year.

The property is less than 5 minutes' walk from local shops, pubs and restaurants and the beach is popular for water sports, easy to drive to with a car park. Norfolk Lavender, Sandringham Estate, Hunstanton and Kings Lynn are all within twenty minutes driving distance, and there is a regular bus service through the village too from Kings Lynn travelling to Cromer and Hunstanton. Train and bus connections are at the historical port of Kings Lynn only 11 miles away. Heacham is the home of Norfolk Lavender where you can see the history of the site and buy lavender produce besides many other interesting gifts. There is also a farm shop, restaurant, plus animal Centre and Farmer Fred’s Adventure Play Barn are open all year for children and visitors.

Beautiful Sandringham House with it’s stunning gardens, museum and surrounding park are open most days throughout the year, perfect for picnics and dog walking. Entrance to the park is free but parking charges apply. July’s Flower Show is something not to be missed, being attended by royalty and offering a superb day out for all the family. Heacham and Dersingham are very busy villages with several little shops, pubs, cafes and churches. The RSPB bird reserve is close to Snettisham beach has featured many times on television with its abundance of migrating and resident birds. Pensthorpe just outside Fakenham is also home to many different species of birds and a lovely day out for all the family with restaurant, walks, and play and information centres. Wild Ken Hill between Snettisham and Heacham on the A149 has hosted BBC's Spring and Autumn Watch programmes and is open to the public. Titchwell Bird Reserve is another RSPB reserve o[pen to the public and is further along the coast about 8 miles towards Wells another busy holiday resort.
