Originally part of Snettisham Railway until closure in 1969, the Old Coal Yard was part of the sidings from the railway line from Kings Lynn to Hunstanton. It has been re-established as a small residential cul-de-sac, tucked away towards the outskirts of the village. The garden is currently Astro-turfed but will become paved as a future project.

There are some some beautiful country walks and lanes close by. Snettisham woods and common are open and perfect for dog walking. Wild Ken Hill Nature Reserve
is open to the public and has been a recent feature on BBC Springwatch
with it's abundance of wildlife, beavers, kites and buzzards to name just a few. Having several small shops, pubs with restaurants, bistro, Antique centre with restaurant, the village has a lot to offer. Park Farm
is a fifteen minute walk away with its deer park, farm animals, tractor tours, tearooms, play area and shop selling food from the region. Snettisham Beach and sailing club
is just a few minutes by car with a car park and is popular for water sports. The RSPB bird reserve
is also a few minutes drive on the way to the beach and has featured many times on television with its abundance of migrating and resident birds.
