Rose Cottage


This charming, end-terrace character cottage is light and airy and is deceptively spacious offering quality accommodation for a small family or couple who wish to holiday in a quiet village but within easy distance for exploring the surrounding area. Furnished to a high standard it is conveniently tucked away in the village conservation area, but with easy walking to shops, pubs and bus stop. A small local supermarket is just a few minutes walk which is handy for the weekly shop although the village has pubs and restaurants within easy reach for eating out. No pets permitted.

Off road parking for two medium cars directly opposite the cottage.

Totally cosy at any time of year with gas central heating, wood floors on the ground floor and carpeting in bedrooms. Perfectly safe for children, the garden offers mostly all day sunshine and has a slight Mediterranean feel with iron furniture, white painted walls, climbing plants and trees and is ideal for enjoying eating ‘al fresco’.

Ground floor: Entrance into living area having staircase and leading through to the lovely kitchen/breakfast extension at the rear which is a valued addition to the property, with patio doors and small step down to the back garden. Cloakroom with WC and washbasin. First floor: landing with two attractive bedrooms; one with a double and the other with twins. Bathroom having bath (shower over), WC and washbasin.

A stairgate is available (please state when booking if required at top or bottom of stairs).

There are some some beautiful country walks and lanes close by which can take you to the beach or to Sandringham Estate and Gardens. Having several small shops, pubs with restaurants, bistro, Antique centre with restaurant, the village has a lot to offer. Park Farm is a five minute walk away with its deer park, farm animals, tractor tours, tearooms, play area and shop selling food from the region. Snettisham Beach and sailing club is just a few minutes by car with a car park and is popular for water sports. The RSPB bird reserve is also a few minutes drive on the way to the beach and has featured many times on television with its abundance of migrating and resident birds.

Snettisham is only 5 miles from the coast at Hunstanton, 3 miles from the Royal Estate of Sandringham and the historical port of Kings Lynn is 12 miles. Avid birdwatchers have the choice of Reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham. Golf Links at Old Hunstanton and Brancaster are a few minutes drive and Heacham has Norfolk Lavender just a few miles away. A regular bus service runs through the village from Hunstanton to Kings Lynn where there is also a good rail link.
