This lovely single storey, chalet holiday home is quietly tucked away in this small chalet site close to the beach at Heacham only a two miles from the resort of Hunstanton. Totally refurbished in 2017, Castaway Cabin offers family accommodation on a smaller scale, but perfectly comfortable and of a very good standard. We are sure that those less mobile,small families, or romantic couples will love staying here!
There is private parking a short walk from the chalet which benefits from all day sunshine. The owners have made decking for sitting out in warm weather and guests are welcome to take the dining table outside! Electric radiators provide heating for cooler months.
Castaway Cabin is light and airy and has a relaxed and restful feel to it. Entrance into living/dining area with TV, large sofa, and fold away dining table and chairs. The kitchen is to the side complete with all you need for self catering.
Two bedrooms, one with a double and the other with a trundle bed (pull out bed to convert and raise to a double, or leave at floor level.) Shower room with WC, washbasin and washing machine.
Parking area close to the property.
Sitting area outside the cabin. Grass area is communal.

A lovely quiet location 5 minutes from the beach and amenities. The chalet is beautiful and everything you could need was included, the owners have thought of everything.
The local shops are about 10 minutes’ walk into the village, and the closest pub/restaurant is about 200 yards up to road. The beach is a short walk with a car park too and Heacham’s Norfolk Lavender is on the A149, only a minutes’ drive, 4 miles from the Royal Estate of Sandringham and the historical port of Kings Lynn is 12 miles. Avid bird watchers have the choice of Reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham. Golf Links at Old Hunstanton and Brancaster are a few minutes drive, plus a regular bus service runs through the village from Hunstanton to Kings Lynn where there is also a good rail link. Snettisham beach with a car park is just a few miles distant where there is also a popular watersports/sailing club.
is the home of Norfolk Lavender where you can see the history of the site and buy lavender produce besides many other interesting gifts. Farm Shop. Restaurant. The animal Centre and Farmer Fred’s Adventure Play Barn are open all year for children and visitors.
The village offers a wide choice of pubs/restaurants, plus local shops all within easy reach of our holiday homes here. A good bus service runs every half hour to Hunstanton or Kings Lynn.
The beach from the village is about a mile although there is parking, and a popular pub and restaurant on the way back if you walk! Ice creams and fish and chips available at North Beach.There is a beach cafe at South Beach. A circular walk along from one beach to the other and through the village.
Sandringham House with it’s stunning gardens, museum and surrounding park are open most days throughout the year, perfect for picnics and dog walking. July’s Flower Show is something not to be missed! Being attended by royalty and offering a superb day out for all the family. Only 8 miles from Hunstanton, it is the perfect attraction at any time of year. Entrance to the park is free.
SNETTISHAM AND DERSINGHAM
are very busy villages with several little shops, libraries, chemist, newsagents, pubs, cafes and churches.
Snettisham Beach is just a few minutes by car and is popular for sailing. The bird reserve close to the beach has featured many times on television with its abundance of migrating and resident birds.
